Betsy is an American-Australian artist by trade with an intense love for felines. Twenty years ago, she developed the habit of 'collecting cats' and despite an intercontinental move and a growing family, nothing has changed. Betsy has been breeding British Shorthairs for over a decade, gradually growing her addiction to this remarkable breed. Her husband Tim has been tremendously supportive and their three children play an integral role in the care and love that goes into Stargazy Pi.

All of our cats and kittens are family- our babies. They are given run of the house, plenty of socialisation, the highest quality diet and veterinary care. We strive to improve the breed through ethical breeding practices. We use DNA-based, geneological data to minimise hereditary diseases and increase genetic diversity, ensuring long-term viability of the breed. Our focus is on health, temperament, and welfare as opposed to purely aesthetic traits.
